Most website platforms rent you a storefront. Pay every month, and the moment you stop, it disappears. The design, the layout, all of it, gone. I build differently: you pay once, and what you get is actually yours. No monthly toll to keep your own site online. I do this on WordPress, because it’s the biggest platform built this way, with the plugin ecosystem and long-term support to match. For the tightest budgets, there is also a simple custom static site, listed below the WordPress packages.

Most WordPress sites today are built with page-builder plugins: Elementor, Divi, that kind of thing. They work, but they’re one more subscription sitting between you and your own website, and they tend to slow a site down. They’re also more code that can be exploited: Elementor alone patched a dozen or so security vulnerabilities in 2026. I build with WordPress’s own native tools instead. Nothing extra to license, nothing extra to break, nothing extra to patch, and a faster site because there’s less standing between your content and the browser.
